Elegy vs. eulogy

Elegy = poem, song, or other work of art composed as a lament for someone who has died. Eulogy = a funeral speech.

Compel vs. impel

A person who is impelled has at least some choice in whether to act. A person who is compelled doesn’t have a choice.
